Meet the main character of the space adventure story.

Lucy is a brilliant girl who loves space and believes in extra terrestrials. Of course because of this she doesn't get a lot of friends at school (any). So she often wishes she could run away to another planet. She's not exactly the type of girl who's particularly brave. In fact she'd rather hide in the attic than face the two bullies she puts up with at school.

When Lucy gets her wish, she faces many a challenge with Illuminaria and always finds a way to push through it. Each time, she grows stronger and finds her courage.

Lucy Kate is a lonely girl who lives in a poor area. Her father is gone, and her mother is rarely home due to working so much at her work. Not to mention she can't seem to make any friends at school due to her love and knowledge of space, and her belief of extra terrestrial life beyond the stars. Between being constantly ridiculed by her peers, and rarely getting any attention from her mother, Lucy wishes that she could leave her home and go someplace far away. Somewhere she's bound to be wanted. One night, a Unidentified Flying Object flies through the sky and crashes near her house. With it brings a being that presents Lucy with an offer that she can't refuse. It seems that she will get her wish. But is it worth it when Lucy finds herself in more danger than she can imagine? With Space Pirates, treachery from an alien once called a friend, unexpected turns and terrifying creatures, and a tyrant who rules a poor planet with an iron fist, Lucy soon finds that the universe isn't everything that she imagined it would be. But with help from her extra terrestrial friends and her newfound courage, she also learns of the purpose she was meant to serve for the galaxy.
